Research & Manufacturing Association, TARIS has undertaken a number of orders for developing robotic and teleinspection controlling systems for the enterprises of the Ministry of Atomic Energy of the Russian Federation (Minatom) and nuclear power plants.

Six-wheel Mobile Manipulation Robot OMAR has been designed and tested for liquidating consequences of the emergency situations in the main energy producing area as well as in the nuclear fuel storage area of the nuclear power plants.

In 2001 TARIS introduced to the market a new version of OMAR Robot that has been completed with X-ray gamma-detector and defect sealing system , for steel pipelines and steal-works by means of gas-dynamic sputtering of metallic powders on local damages.

Special video cameras manufactured by TARIS have undergone strict test control for radiation resistance, which is proved by a state certificate of an appropriate state controlling body (Gosstandart of Russia).
