The system is oriented for the cross welded seams quality control of a double-pipe joint in plant conditions with a possibility of X-radiation transformation into the visible image on a monitor screen in the mode of real time.
1 -video camera TV3-70L, 2 -tilt and rotate unit UN100, 3 -wheel, 4 -lever, 5 -spring, 6 -nut, 7 -protective flange, 8 -counterbalance, 9 -roll sensor, 10 -switching block, 11 -wheel drive.

Components:
Mode of functioning: After welding of two pipelines with a length in 12 m in plant conditions the received joint is transmitted to the X-raying area. A double-pipe joint is set inside the bioprotection booth on special drive rollers which allow the double-pipe joint rotate around its longitudinal axis at the angle ± 200?. Inside the double-pipe joint is placed a self-propelled crawler with an X-ray generator and an additional video camera. Crawler controlling and power supply are realizing from the control station over the cable. The crawler is centralizing inside the pipe by means of roller centralizers. Video camera is meant for precise positioning of the X-ray generator inside the pipe opposite the welded joint and for visual joint checking from inside. The X-ray generator treats with rays the welded joint from inside along the whole circle. At double-pipe joint rotation passing through the welded seam X-radiation is recorded by the immobile X-ray TV unit located outside the pipeline. As a result the information concerning the welded joint condition along the whole circle is displaying, recording and archiving in a digital format in PC memory.
