A well tractor is intended for well-logging devices transportation along horizontal parts of oil and gas wells.

The system consists of the transport module (tractor), operating in a well and the Control station linking up to the logging truck.

A tractor is linked up to the standard well-logging cable with quantity not less than 3 conductors through the standard cable lug placed in a tail unit. The bunch of well-logging devices is linked up to the tractor through the analogue cable lug placed on the front butt. Electric circuits of the tractor drives and passing through the tractor circuits of well-logging devices are independent, the well-logging devices can work at tractor operating. The main operating mode of well-logging devices is considered the mode at their hoisting when the tractor drives are de-energized and noises are eliminated.

Lowering of the tractor and the well-logging devices into the well is realized along the tubing column, and after going out from the tubing - along the casing up to the level on which the well angle of inclination allows to continue lowering under its own weight (45° -55°). For continue lowering an operator puts in action traction system of the transport module. The tractor levers are opening on the ends of which there are the driving wheels. In a process of motion an operator can regulate the speed by changing value which is supplying voltage. Centralizers which are a part of a tractor provide centering position of the equipment in a well. At voltage disconnection by the operator the tractor levers are laied together automatically and the tractor with the bunch of well-logging devices drew out from the well using logging truck.
